It did not take long, as a probation officer, for me to realize that some people are beyond help. I have a degree in biology, and a strong interest in this topic. There are biological causes for some deviant/criminal behavior, that when influenced environmental, manifest themselves quite violently. Most research seems to be in the area of testosterone and serotonin levels. I am finally in graduate school and hope to learn alot more. Please always consider the biological causes of criminal behavior-if a child does not develop a conscience by the age of five or so-he/she will not have one-they are not crying out for help-they are looking only to serve themselves!
