: : I am in a Criminal law class in Wisconsin and I just would like some one else's in put on what are the reasons for Criminal behavior and/or crime?? If you have any comments of this please email me ..

You might want to read a book by Samuel E. Stanton. He is a psychologist who was a student of another psych. Samuel's mentor [other psych] was a psych who owned a rehabillitation center or worked in one. He found that criminals were not changing and figured that their rehabillitation efforts needed a different approach.. In taking this step, he found a way for criminals to change their thought process and they actually did change. I do not know what criminal behavior is caused by, but I know that they are not victems. Tell me, what seperates them from other people? Instead of putting them off as a group or responding to criminals as "them", they
should be looked at in a different focus. They are people... Criminal behavior is a thought process, just like anorexia or bulimia. They are victems of themselves and need to change. By doing this, it does not mean to delve into their past or find out their hidden thoughts. Their thinking process is far different than ours and need to be corrected. An average person does have issues that they need to deal with, but an average person doesn't victemize other people. When you are victemizing others or are thinking of it, then a psych is needed. Criminals get a lust for what they do. Their behavior and thought process is beyond any ever known. Please read the book, it has brought me a lot of insight.
